Norris Center Presents Soiree Lyrique: From Broadway to Opera

Feb. 25 concert features soprano Solange Sior, tenor Franco Martorana and pianist Chiayi Lee in favorites from musical theater and the opera

St. Charles, Feb. 6 - The Norris Cultural Arts Center's 40th Anniversary season continues on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m., with a concert in the gallery, "Soiree Lyrique: From Broadway to Opera."

Enjoy an afternoon of songs presented by the incomparable duo of soprano Solange Sior and tenor Franco Martorana, accompanied on the piano by Chiayi Lee. The performance will include all-time favorites and standards from musical theater, Italian songs, and opera.

Sior and Martorana are mainstays of Soiree Lyrique, a vocal performing group that presents concerts and operas in Elgin and other Fox Valley communities. An accomplished soloist, collaborative artist and educator, Sior said she founded the organization, "to create and nourish a greater appreciation of the classical vocal arts and to educate through professional performances and community outreach programs."
