Norris Gallery ‘Up Close and Personal’ Exhibit Open 'til Feb. 17
Exhibit includes 104 works by 50 artists. Six artists to be honored as award winners at January 27 reception.
St. Charles, Jan. 15 – The Gallery Committee of the Norris Cultural Arts Center invites the public to visit “Up Close and Personal,” the gallery’s winter 2019 exhibit depicting images that can be easily missed or overlooked. Featuring 104 works in all media, the exhibit is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., through February 17. Admission is free and most works are available for purchase.
The public also is invited to a free reception in the gallery, Sunday, January 27, 2 to 4 p.m., honoring the exhibit’s 50 artists, six of whom will receive awards and recognition based on judging by G.E. Colpitts, professor of art at Judson University, Elgin. Artists Peggy Dee, Danielle Piloto and Anita Seltzer will receive the Award of Excellence; artist Mary Lynn Sullivan will receive the Judge’s Choice Award; and artists Maggie Capettini and Megan Ripke will receive Honorable Mention recognition.
