Norris Gallery Hosts Yellow House Artists Exhibit Through July 10

"Artistry in Color" features 80-plus works by 28 artists. Free reception planned for Sunday, June 12.

St. Charles, May 20 - The Norris Gallery welcomes Yellow House Artists for a seven-week exhibit, "Artistry in Color," on display through July 10 during regular gallery hours. The exhibit includes more than 80 works by 28 Yellow House Artists members. Admission is free, and nearly all works are available for purchase. A free, public reception honoring the artists is scheduled for Sunday, June 12, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Yellow House Artists supports and promotes the art work of its members. The inspiration for this group started in a quaint yellow house in St. Charles, where an initial group of these artists created an exquisite art gallery during the 2007 St. Charles Fine Art Show. The artists are from the Chicago area and paint exclusively in oil pastel and oil stick. Together they offer their gallery-quality paintings for exhibit and sale in group events at area art venues.

The Norris Gallery is located in the Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Road, St. Charles. The gallery is open to the public, Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.NorrisCulturalArts.com.
