Norris Gallery Reception to Honor Artist Bruce Hecksel
Exhibit featuring 57 paintings by renowned artist and musician to end with July 10 reception
St. Charles, June 23 - Bruce Hecksel, master guitarist for the folk duo Patchouli, has shared his multi-faceted talents in an exhibit of 57 of his paintings that is on display at the Norris Cultural Arts Center through July 10.
The Norris will host a free gallery reception Friday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. to mark the close of Hecksel’s “Terra Guitarra” exhibit. Hecksel will be on hand to meet and greet visitors. He is also guitarist for the duo, Patchouli, which includes his wife, Julie Patchouli, who also will attend the July 10 reception. Patchouli CDs will be available. Attendees may purchase any of Hecksel’s “Terra Guitarra” or “Love This” original paintings and prints. No reservation is necessary. Free admission, free parking and free refreshments.
Patchouli performed recently on The Norris’ “Music in the Gallery” concert series, which concludes its first season on Sunday, June 28 with a 3 p.m. concert by the folk/bluegrass trio, Ask Your Folks.
