Nurse's Night, Concert, Honors St. Charles Area Frontline Heroes
The event features the music of ABBA and pays tribute to nurses who have dealt with the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic on a daily basis.
ST. CHARLES, IL — Ron Onesti realizes that as tough as the 19 months have been on the country as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues, medical professionals — and namely nurses — have endured an extra dose of stress in dealing with COVID-19 on a daily basis.
Onesti, the president and CEO of St. Charles-based Onesti Entertainment, was searching for a way to honor these frontline heroes, which led him to come up with a night honoring nurses. On Tuesday, Onesti Entertainment will host a free Nurse’s Night that will feature “A Night of ABBA” at the Arcada Theater.
The event, which will be held 105 E. Main St. in St. Charles, begins at 8:30 p.m. and will include themed cocktails, giveaways and free concert celebrating the music of ABBA, which produced the hit "Dancing Queen". Nurses are encouraged to wear their scrubs to the event.

“I am planning an evening for nurses, or any front-line worker for that matter, because my heart continues to break for these heroes that continue to show up and give 100% every single day,” Onesti said in a news release. “For nearly two years, they have been caring for our friends and family during the toughest of times. We've all heard about their tireless hours in hospitals and clinics, but they are giving back in their community too, going so far as helping out at local businesses that are short-staffed.
“They are true heroes. I want them to know they are thought about, appreciated, and admired by a great number of people in our community."
