Pets, Livestock Blessed At St. Charles Church Service

Does your pet need some extra blessings? The St. Charles Espiscopal Church will be hosting a special service in October.

ST. CHARLES, IL -- St. Charles Episcopal Church will be hosting a special outdoor service in October where animals "large and small" can be blessed, according to the news release. The service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7 starting at 4 p.m.

"Our pets are a part of our families, and this is a wonderful opportunity to thank God for their presence in our lives. Bring your pet (on a leash or in a carrier, please) and Reverend Stacy will bless its furry, scaled, feathered, or leathery head," according to a news release.

Horses and other livestock are welcome. The event will take place rain or shine.

St. Charles Episcopal Church is located at 994 N. 5th Avenue (Route 25) in St. Charles, and offers three Sunday morning services.
