Man Clocked Going 102 MPH 'Had To Go To The Bathroom:' Police
Christopher A. Thole of St. Charles Township has had five speeding tickets in the past year, according to authorities.
ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP, IL — A 22-year-old Campton Township man whose racked up a number of speeding tickets this past year told authorities "he really needed to use the bathroom" when he was recently clocked going 102 mph on Swanberg Road in St. Charles Township, according to the Kane County Chronicle. Christopher A. Thole, 22, of the 43W400 block of Cornwall Drive, was pulled over on Hazelwood Trail near Empire Road on Dec. 19 — less than .2 miles from his home.
The deputy first spotted Thole heading west on Silver Glen Road, and turning left onto southbound Swanberg Road without allegedly using his signal, at 5:20 p.m. and began to follow him, according to the news report. The deputy noted in a sheriff's office report that his car was clocked traveling at over 90 mph and eventually hit 102 mph.
Thole has been charged with a misdemeanor count of speeding over 35 mph, according to online court records. He also received a ticket on Aug. 13 for speeding over the statutory limit of 15 to 20 mph, speeding over the statutory limit 15 to 20 mph on April 2, speeding over the statutory limit 21 to 25 mph on Feb. 19 and speeding over statutory limit 15 to 20 mph on Jan. 10.
