Pot Growing Company Eyes South Elgin Facility
South Elgin CGF is looking at moving its cannabis craft growing business into the former Fuji Foods building in South Elgin.
SOUTH ELGIN, IL — The former Fuji Foods in South Elgin could be transformed into a cannabis craft growing business, according to the Daily Herald. South Elgin CGF Inc. is requesting permission to move its marijuana grow business into the 40,000-square-foot building, located at 740 Schneider Drive in South Elgin.
The village Planning and Zoning Commission is expected to consider a special use permit for the business, which plans only to produce and sell medicinal marijuana, on Wednesday and then the measure will head to the village board for a final vote.
