Primrose's Farm Frolic Scheduled For Sept. 23

Find out what will be happening at this year's event.

From St. Charles Parks District: Hi-ho the dairy-o, it's time again for the annual Primrose Farm Frolic. This family event will be held on Sunday, September 23 from 11am until 3pm at Primrose Farm, located at 5N726 Crane Road, St. Charles. Admission is $6 for ages 3 and over and free for ages 2 and under. All activities are included in admission. Funds raised from this event will support the continued development of Primrose Farm.

Combining the unique atmosphere of a working dairy farm with exciting fall activities, Farm Frolic is a one-of-a-kind event for kids of all ages. Join us for a day that will include historic demonstrations, traditional games and crafts, tractor-drawn wagon rides and delicious fall foods!

Visitors can launch corn from a cannon, get their face painted, greet farm animals, climb on modern and vintage farm equipment, ride a pony, paint a pumpkin, climb a straw mountain, and so much more! There will also be unique opportunities to experience life on an historic farm – shell corn, try your hand at laundering, learn about woodstove cooking, and see a blacksmith hard at work. Also back again this year are barn building compliments of Kline Creek Farm and refreshments for purchase from the home-cooked kitchen of Inglenook Pantry. STC Underground Teen Center will be selling cookies as a fundraiser. Additional sponsors and supporters include McAlister’s Deli, CIBC of St. Charles and DuPage Medial Group.
