Renovated St. Charles Aldi To Reopen This Week
The store is set to reopen on Thursday.

ST. CHARLES, IL -- Renovations at an Aldi in St. Charles are expected to wrap up this week with the expanded store at 2670 W. Main Street set to reopen on Thursday, the Daily Herald reports. Two other suburban stores in Lisle and North Aurora will be celebrating grand re-openings this week as well with samples and giveaways.
The openings are part of the Batavia-based grocer's $1.6 billion store remodel plan that includes upgrading 130 Chicago-area stores by 2020, according to the Daily Herald.

The new Aldi store provides a more modern look with a focus on fresh items, including more produce, dairy and bakery sections. The remodeled stores also feature an updated design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials, such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.
