Republican Leaders Lend a Helping Hand to Area Families
Community Care Package Drive to be held in St. Charles Township on Saturday

Sugar Grove, IL - State Senator and candidate for Congress in the 14th District Jim Oberweis is joining area civic leaders in an event on Saturday to help area families in need with a community care package event in St. Charles.
On Saturday, July 11, from 10-11:00 AM, the Valley View Baptist Church, located at 6N656 Route 25 in St. Charles Township, is hosting a safe, drive-thru Community Care Package Distribution event.
Families and Individuals will be provided with a care package that will include Fresh Oberweis Dairy milk, RX Water, masks, assorted food items from the H.E.L.P.S. Ministry Food Pantry, and valuable food coupons. The event is Sponsored by 6th District Congressional Republican nominee/Fmr. State Rep. Jeanne Ives and 14th Congressional Republican nominee/State Senator Jim Oberweis. Co-Sponsors are Kane County Circuit Clerk Tom Hartwell, Kane County Treasurer/County Board Chairman Republican nominee David Rickert, Kane County Auditor Terry Hunt, Kane County Coroner Rob Russell, Senator Don DeWitte, and Representatives Dan Ugaste and Keith Wheeler.

Also, Co-Sponsors are Jeanette Ward, Republican nominee for State Senate District 25, Laura Curtis, Republican nominee for State Rep. 49, Kane County Board Members Drew Frasz and Doug Scheflow. Republican Kane County Board candidates Roberta Andresen, Dave Brown, and Lucio Estrada, Sugar Grove Trustee Ted Koch, Elgin Community College Board President Jeff Meyer, Trustee Shane Nowak, Oberweis Dairy, Papa John's Pizza, RX Water, and Latino author and Civic Leader, Dr. Robert Renteria.
"There are real families hurting right now and they need help," Oberweis said. "These families desperately need our help and more importantly, they need to know that there are people who care about them and what they are going through."

Oberweis has most recently led food and PPE distributions in Yorkville, Batavia, St. Charles, Elgin, Wonder Lake, Harvey, and Chicago. Tax-Deductible Donations may be made at the event to help people in need in the St. Charles Township/Valley View area by giving to H.E.L.P.S. Ministry or Valley View Baptist Church.
