Revised Pheasant Run Redevelopment Plans Move Forward In St. Charles
The latest proposal calls for 105 townhouses, 126 apartments and about 120,000 square feet of commercial space.
ST. CHARLES, IL — Revised plans to redevelop a portion of the former Pheasant Run Resort property are moving forward after receiving a recommendation for approval from a St. Charles City Council committee.
The latest proposal from GSI Family Investments calls for 105 townhouses, a 126-unit apartment building and about 120,000 square feet of commercial space on the site, according to the Daily Herald. The revised plan reduces the number of apartments from an earlier proposal and adds more commercial development following concerns raised by aldermen and residents.
The project has faced months of debate, and an earlier version failed to receive enough support from the council in August. The proposal will next head to the full St. Charles City Council for consideration.
