Rise in Tri-Cities Townhouse Market Signals Sales Boom

Last month saw a 62% increase in the number of townhouses for sale in the tri-cities. This could be a signal of increased sales in the month

Last month saw a 62% increase in the number of attached homes (condos & townhouses) for sale in the tri-cities of St Charles, Geneva and Batavia Illinois.

This could be a signal of increased sales in the months to come.

The majority of homeowners getting off the fence and deciding to put their townhouse on the market are looking to move up to a larger home. Growing families, a more stable job market and a positive economic outlook are unleashing these pent up sellers. They realize that now is the time to make the move.

Batavia is seeing the strongest increase with 17 attached homes on the market this January as compared to only 7 last year. That’s a whopping 142% increase.

Geneva has 35 attached homes for sale compared with 27 in January 2014. This represents a 30% uptick.

St Charles, while not as dramatic, shows a 14% increase in the number of attached homes for sale at 49.
