Riverside Avenue Resurfacing Gets Underway Next Week

Road work is scheduled for May 2 to May 13 on Riverside Avenue from Cedar to Illinois avenues.

Submission by the city of St. Charles

As part of the city’s annual roadway maintenance, the city of St. Charles is launching a project to resurface Riverside Avenue from Cedar to Illinois avenues. Work is scheduled for May 2 to 13. The contract has been awarded to Schroeder Asphalt Services, Inc. of Huntley.

In addition to the street rehabilitation work, the scope of the project includes repairs to the existing curb, sidewalk and utility structures. Riverside Avenue and access to all properties will remain open throughout the project. However, due to the limited space, property access may be delayed at times.

There will be no on-street parking throughout the project. "No Parking" signs will be posted along Riverside Avenue and in the south city hall “Checkerboard” parking lot during the work. Additional short term parking is available in the parking lot north of city hall.
