Road Closures for Saturday's Sly Fox Half Marathon in St. Charles
You are going to want to avoid these roadways on Saturday.

The Sly Fox Half Marathon will take place from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 22.
The race will start and end at 3rd and Cedar streets. The following road closures will be in effect starting at 3 a.m. on Saturday:
- North 3rd Street from Cedar Street to State Street
- A portion of Cedar Street between west of the Himalayan Restaurant parking lot to the intersection of N. 3rd Street
- Parking lots on North 3rd Street
- Limited parking will be available in the Breadsmith lot.
Parking restrictions have been posted along Dean Street to allow runners safe passage in the parking lane, according to the news release. No parking by Police Order signs will be posted along the route 24 hrs. prior to the event.

Officers and EMA personnel will be staged along the route to manage traffic flow during the event. Vehicles may encounter brief delays in the Dean Street area between 3rd Street and Randall Road during the event to insure safety for the race participants, according to the news release.
Runners will then travel north on Randall Road travelling to Leroy Oaks, then north to Primrose Farm Park and then back down Randall Road to Dean Street, ending at 3rd Street and state Street. About 1,500 runners are expected to participate.

There will be staggered opening of traffic routes as runners clear intersections and all closures and restrictions should be complete by 12 p.m.
