Route 25 Resurfacing Continues

Resurfacing will start soon on Route 25 from North Avenue in St. Charles south to Wilson Street in Batavia.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is resurfacing two separate sections of Route 25 that run through St. Charles and neighboring communities to the north and south. The first project includes a section Route 25 from Johnor Avenue in St. Charles and continues north to the Brewster Creek Bridge in South Elgin. Work began in recent weeks and the portion that runs through St. Charles city limits are nearing completion, according to a news release.

Next up is a section of Route 25 from North Avenue in St. Charles south to Wilson Street in Batavia. Work is anticipated to begin in the coming weeks.

The road will remain open to traffic during the work, but drivers should be alert for lane closures and flaggers. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of October. For more information, visit IDOT’s website at www.idot.illinois.gov.
