Rummage Sale Coming Up

There’s nothing like an old-fashioned Rummage Sale to pick up some gently used clothing, find needed household appliances, get a deal on some electronics, tools, games and other things.

So be sure to stop by and browse the annual fall Rummage Sale running 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at South Elgin Community United Methodist Church, 400 W. Spring Street (one block west of Route 31) in South Elgin.

Donations will be continue to be accepted until Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. Times the church is open for drop-offs are Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and Monday and Wednesday evening 6:30-8 p.m. Other times for drop-offs, or pick-up of goods can be arranged by contacting the church.

Proceeds from the sale will go toward funding some of the many community programs that the church sponsors such as July 4th Pancake Breakfast, youth groups from Willard School and Free Ice Cream Fridays.
