Scaled Back Apartments To Be Discussed At Upcoming Meeting

The River East Loft Project will be discussed at a St. Charles City Council's planning and development committee in coming weeks.

ST. CHARLES, IL —A meeting regarding a proposed apartment complex near the Fox River in St. Charles has been postponed.

The St. Charles City Council's planning and development committee had been expected to review plans for the River East Lofts project on Monday, but the developer requested the meeting be pushed back to a later date to discuss the project further, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

City officials have scaled back its plans for the apartments — with revisions now calling for a four-story complex instead of the original five-story building — after those living near the proposed apartments voiced concerns over the project.
