Scarecrow Weekend Kicks Off In St. Charles

The weekend will run Friday through Sunday in downtown St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES, IL — More than 85 handmade scarecrows will be on display around town this weekend as the 2022 Scarecrow Weekend gets underway.

The festivities begin Friday and continue through Sunday. Visitors to the fest can check out the scarecrows, which are located around town, and vote on their favorites. A map of all of the scarecrow's locations can be found here.

The festival will run from 12 to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in downtown St. Charles.

Scarecrow Weekend will include live entertainment and several family activities, including a family zone where there will be a magician, stilt walker and giant bubble artist, and an activity zone with a professional pumpkin carver, festive photo opportunities and scarecrow in a box, where visitors can purchase a box with all the materials to make their own scarecrow.

The Autumn on the Fox Art and Craft Show will also be happening over the Scarecrow Weekend.
