School Board Approves Firing of Dean's Assistant Accused of Sex Assault

The St. Charles North High School dean's assistant is accused of sexually assaulting a student.

The District 303 School Board on Monday approved 7-0 the official firing of a St. Charles North high School dean’s assistant for sexually assaulting a student, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

Christopher E. Lee, of the 300 block of North 15th Street, is charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony, and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony.

Prosecutors allege that sometime between Feb. 1, and May 6, Lee had sexual contact with the victim who he knew and who was under the age of 18 years old.

St. Charles Police began to investigate after receiving an anonymous tip about the inappropriate relationship, prosecutors said. Lee was taken into custody on May 6.

Bond was set at $150,000 on Friday for Lee. He is next expected in court on May 20.
