The St. Charles Mothers' Club is planning their spring fundraiser in order to provide scholarships and charitable donations to the community

Each year, the St. Charles Mothers’ Club organizes a major fundraiser in the spring. The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money for our Sherry Costello Scholarship Fund and our Charitable Distribution program. For the past three years, the fundraiser has been a night of bowling at St. Charles Bowl. With Michelle Cicero at the helm of the event, the funds raised each year have surpassed the previous years’ totals.
The Sherry Costello Scholarship Fund was initiated after the passing of Sherry Costello, who had been a member of the Mothers’ Club and an educator in the public school system. The scholarship is designated for women in financial need who are returning to school in order to finish or further her education. Applications for scholarships are now being accepted until April 1, 2017. Visit our website to download an application, www.stcmothersclub.com
Our Charitable Distribution Program allows current members to identify and nominate non-profit organizations in the area that assist mothers and/or children in the Fox Valley region. A committee of members meets in order to determine if the nominated organization fulfills the requirements for a donation from our club. Each year, the St. Charles Mothers’ Club has awarded more than $10,000 in scholarship money and charitable giving.

This year’s “Let the Good Times Bowl 4” event will be held on Friday, April 21st at the same location. And, of course, the goal is to once again raise more money than the previous year. If you own a business, and you would like more information on how to you can donate items for a raffle, silent auction or lane sponsorship, please email Michelle Cicero at info@stcmothersclub.com.
