Silver Glen Road Bridge Work Starts This Week
Expect lane closures and delays for three weeks.

ST. CHARLES, IL – Bridge repair work on Silver Glen Road Bridge over Otter Creek is slated to get underway this week. The roadwork, which will take place about .75 miles west of Randall Road, is scheduled to begin on Wednesday and continue for about three weeks. Work will include the installation of steel support beams, which is intended to extend the life of the existing bridge structure, according to the IDOT news release.
All bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the use of the area during construction for the
safety of both the workers and the residents. During the working hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, the contractor will be using both roadway shoulders along the bridge to temporarily store vehicles and equipment, according to the news release.
