Six Artists Honored for Whimsy Encore Exhibit

Norris Cultural Arts Center presents three Awards of Excellence and three Honorable Mentions during Feb. 8 reception honoring artists.

St. Charles, Feb. 10 - Six artists received special recognition for their works displayed in the current Whimsy Encore exhibit at the Norris Cultural Arts Center. Awards were presented on Sunday, Feb. 8, during a reception honoring the exhibit’s artists.

Awards of excellence were presented to Chris Hodge for his painting, “Treemill,” Cheryl Holtz for her mixed media collection, “The Tree Series,” and Karl Jahnke for his sculpture, “Sticks.” Receiving Honorable Mention recognition were Sandra Frigolett for “Barn Chick & Egg,” Deborah Lader for “Wholes,” and Annette Perone Leiber for “Private Dancer.”

Whimsy Encore is available for public viewing through March 1 during The Norris gallery’s regular hours - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, call 630-584-7200 or visit NorrisCulturalArts.com.
