Social Media Abuzz About Blackhawks Win

St. Charles, Batavia residents give Facebook shout outs for the Stanley Cup winners.

For some of us, hockey is a game involving ice, something called a puck, and violent men on ice skates wearing padding, masks and bearing sticks. For others, however, it’s an extremely competitive sport that just can’t be beat for fun and excitement.

But in Chicago and the suburbs on Monday night, it seemed as if everyone on social media was a Blackhawks fan, cheering on the team to a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins, giving Chicago it’s fourth win of six games and the right to take home the Stanley Cup.

Were they all ‘Hawks fans, or are they simply boosters of all things Chicago? But then, does it matter?
