Social Media Safety Speakers Comes to D303 Schools

Josh Ochs will visit schools on Oct. 30-31 and talk about how to create a positive online profile.

From District 303: Social media safety speaker Josh Ochs will visit District 303 middle and high schools on October 30 and 31 and bring his message of ways to create a positive online profile to students. In addition, he will speak to parents as part of the district’s Parent University series about ways to keep their children safe on the Internet, start a conversation with their children about being smart on social media, and identify safe apps for kids.

Josh will speak on the following schedule:
October 30
St. Charles East High School, 1020 Dunham Rd. – 8:07 – 8:48 a.m.
Thompson Middle School, 705 S. Main Street – 2:00 – 2:45 p.m.
October 31
St. Charles North High School, 255 Red Gate Rd. – 8:12 – 9:09 a.m.
Wredling Middle School, 1200 Dunham Rd. – 1:54 – 2:39 p.m.

The Parent University program will be held in the Thompson Middle School cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. on October 30. All families in District 303 will receive a free one-year subscription to Digital Driver’s Ed, which includes videos on topics such as when should I get my child a cell phone, when should my children be on social media, how do colleges search for students, and how to find out if your child has a second/fake Instagram account.
