Police are asking for the public's help as they search for the missing teen.

SOUTH ELGIN, IL - The mother of Kianna Galvin, a South Elgin teen who went missing on May 6, has been handing out fliers and constantly checking her phone and Facebook account as she hopes to get word that her daughter has been found safe, the Daily Herald reports

South Elgin police have been tracking down leads as they search for a missing teen who, as of Tuesday, has been missing for 11 days. Kianna Galvin was reported missing on May 8 after her family said she was last seen at her home in South Elgin on the afternoon of May 6, South Elgin Police Sgt. Mike Flaningam said.

Foul play is not suspected and police do not think the girl ran away from home, Flaningam said. Detectives are working to try and determine the girl’s whereabouts and are asking for the public’s help with any information regarding where she might be.
