St. Charles Addresses Noise Complaints After Kane County Fairgrounds Event
The city said amplified music continued past the time allowed under the event's permit Saturday night.
ST. CHARLES, IL — The City of St. Charles and St. Charles Police Department are addressing noise complaints stemming from an event at the Kane County Fairgrounds over the weekend.
According to the city, amplified music continued beyond the time authorized under the city-issued permit Saturday evening.
“We understand the impact this had on surrounding residents and appreciate those who contacted us to report their concerns,” the city said in a statement.

The city said it has addressed the permit violation with event organizers and is taking appropriate enforcement action.
The incident will also be documented and considered as part of any future application for the event, according to the city.
