St. Charles Coronavirus Cases Pass 250; 9 Deaths
Public health officials have confirmed 26 new cases of the coronavirus in St. Charles since the start of June.
ST. CHARLES, IL — The average number of St. Charles residents testing positive for the coronavirus each day has dropped significantly over the past three weeks, according to public health data. Just 26 cases have been confirmed since the start of June, bringing the city’s total to 252, as of Friday, according to statistics from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The 7-day rolling average of confirmed cases per day — a measure that takes into account daily fluctuations to show longer-term trends — has remained below 5 since May 25 after peaking at 11 on May 11, the data shows. The 7-day rolling average of daily confirmed cases stood at less than one on Friday, according to the data.

As of Friday, nine St. Charles residents have died from coronavirus-related conditions, IDPH statistics show. Public health officials have linked 13 cases and three deaths to long-term-care facilities in St. Charles.
