St. Charles Dispensary Opens To Recreational Marijuana Users
All of-age marijuana users can now shop at Zen Leaf, after the city granted the dispensary permission to sell to recreational users.
ST. CHARLES, IL — Zen Leaf in St. Charles is now selling to all marijuana users over 21 after the City Council narrowly approved a measure allowing recreational marijuana sales. The city’s only dispensary has expanded its hours and made other changes to handle the expected surge in demand.
Last month, St. Charles alderman voted 6-4 to add recreational marijuana dispensaries as a special use in the city’s M-2 limited manufacturing district. By the same margin, the council granted permission for Zen Leaf to operate a recreational marijuana dispensary at its facility at 3714 Illinois Ave., according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle.
