St. Charles East Boys Win Regional Volleyball Title
Three wins in a row pit East against Lake Park on Friday for the sectional semifinal in Bartlett.
The St. Charles East High School boys volleyball team recorded its first regional title in the school’s history on Wednesday after three wins in a row this week that send the team into the sectional semifinal on Friday.
East head coach Kate McCullagh, in an email to St. Charles Patch late Wednesday, said the evening’s win gave the Fighting Saints team its first regional boys volleyball title in the school’s history.
“We played Conant Monday for the play into regionals ... Wheaton Academy yesterday (Tuesday) in the semis and beat York tonight in the championship,” she wrote. “Scores 21-25, 25-22, 25-23.”

“We play Lake Park on Friday at 7:30 at Bartlett for the sectional semifinal,” McCullagh wrote.
