St. Charles East Helps the Wille Family for the Holidays
St. Charles East Community comes together to raise money for the Wille family
On Thursday, December 17th, it was all about the Wille Family at the St. Charles McDonald’s at 1915 W. Main St. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the Wille Family, who lost their home to a fire. Many teachers worked very hard including: Cabel, Barley, Hayes, Goebbert, Ellerbusch, Mazur, Carrell, Ackermann, Rush, Veyette, Austin, Hogland, Harding, Knarr, Markowski, Markowski, Schulthess, Mannarelli, Dahlquist, Wells, Olney, Gow, Young, Richter, DeWees, Goss, Oetke, White, Dandre, Kyle, Newland, Kobler, Healy, Becht, Hampton, Stepien, Nichol, Kellums, Anderson, Abraham, Kittl and Cochenour. The McTeacher jobs included: drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers serving ice cream. There were even teachers singing for tips. St. Charles East McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the Wille Family. All the kids came to see their teachers perform and work at the St. Charles McDonald’s. A special appearance by the talented band McTeachers helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to Assistant Principal, Lisa Dandre, who organized the entire event. It was a great night! The event was courtesy of the McDonald’s owner/operators, The Lardas Family.
