St. Charles High Schools Add Lacrosse as Sport

The St. Charles School District 303 Board voted 6-1 Monday in favor of adding lacrosse to its sports offerings at St. Charles North and East high schools, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

In the past, 172 students played as part of the schools’ club format and it was determined there was enough interest to create a boys’ and girls’ program at the high schools, the newspaper reports. The program will have varsity and junior varsity co-op teams between the schools for the girls and varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams at both high schools for boys, according to the article.
