St. Charles History Museum Hosts Kentucky Derby Day

The event will be this Saturday.

ST. CHARLES, IL - The St. Charles History Museum will host Kentucky Derby Day this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum, at 215 East Main in St. Charles, will offer a fun-filled afternoon that will include the celebration of a local Greyhound legend and the Kentucky Derby, according to a news release. Starting at 11 a.m., Vanessa Bell-LaSota who is the author of her upcoming book, Greyhound: Mr. Baker and His Horse.

The cost to attend is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Space is limited and an RSVP is required.

There will be kid-friendly activities, including a make your own race horse or derby hat. And there will be a visit from The Galloping Out Thoroughbred Rescue Fund which is a group dedicated to the rescue, care, rehabilitation and retraining of off-the-track thoroughbreds .
