St. Charles To Host Veterans Day Ceremony
The ceremony will be held at the Freedom Shrine behind the St. Charles Police Department station on Nov. 11.

From the City of St. Charles: The City of St. Charles Annual Veterans Day Ceremony is Nov. 11, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at the Freedom Shrine, behind the St. Charles Police Station, 211 N. Riverside Avenue. All are welcome to attend. Please join us to show your appreciation for our country’s vets.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside St. Charles Fire Station 1, at 112 N. Riverside Ave. All are welcome to attend. Please join us to show your appreciation
“Veterans Day is a holiday set aside to honor and thank the men and women who served our nation in the military, both in wartime and peace,” said Mayor Rogina. “It is a day when everyone should acknowledge what our veterans have sacrificed to guard the security our nation. We hope to see a good crowd at the ceremony again this year.”
The ceremony will begin with a reading of the official Veterans Day Proclamation, followed by an invocation, salute to the flag, gun salute and Taps performance.
