St. Charles Man, 25, Killed in Motorcycle Crash
The crash occurred on Route 25 near Elgin on Friday afternoon.

A 25-year-old St. Charles man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a flatbed truck on Route 25 just south of Elgin on Friday afternoon.
Jordan Hale was traveling north on Route 25 when his motorcycle collided with a Ford L9000 flatbed truck, which was traveling south on Route 25 and was beginning to turn east into the parking lot of an industrial park near 9N501 Route 25, according to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office press release. The crash occurred in the northbound lane of Route 25 at about 2:45 p.m. on Friday
Hale was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford, David Odman, 50, of South Elgin, was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin with minor injuries.

Hale was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
No charges or tickets have been issued, and the crash remains under investigation by Kane County Sheriff’s Detectives and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
