St. Charles man will co-chair American Litho's Relay For Life team
Joe Bulgarelli of St. Charles, Illinois will co-chair the American Litho team at Relay For Life of Carol Stream,

St. Charles resident Joe Bulgarelli will co-chair a workplace team supporting the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Carol Stream.
Bulgarelli’s employer, American Litho, has launched a year-long campaign to fight cancer, pledging to raise $20,000 in support of ACS.
“Relay will be a major part of our company goal, so we’re getting started with kick-off events next month,” says Bulgarelli, a sales executive with ALitho since 2001.

ALitho will support the Relay event scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at Ross Ferraro Town Center in Carol Stream.
“We’re getting our families involved,” Bulgarelli says, “because that’s how we can really build a strong volunteer base. My wife, Ursula, and my daughter Tatiana, who’s 14, will be helping us out.”

Bulgarelli says he understands the worry and stress a cancer diagnosis can cause within families.
“In 2013 my dad was successfully treated for bladder cancer. We feel very lucky, but we know other families really struggle with this disease. The money we raise will go for programs to help them get through the tough times.”
ACS offers community-based help for patients and loved ones, including a 24/7 hotline (800-227-2345), peer support and free rides to treatment for cancer patients who can’t get there on their own.
“We also want to prevent cancer in our own lives,” says Bulgarelli, “so we’re planning a series of wellness events for ALitho employees.”
Informal get-togethers will share helpful information on healthy eating, exercise, and the cancer tests people should ask their doctors about, he says.
With 300-plus employees at ALitho’s Carol Stream plant, Bulgarelli is confident that he can build a strong team. “We will reach out to our clients and the community to help make this a success,” he adds.
