St. Charles North Grad Forbes Posts 3rd Shutout

Eclipse Select Soccer Club alumna and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee senior goalkeeper Jamie Forbes, of St. Charles, posted her third straight shutout and the Panthers won the Horizon League Championship on Nov. 4 with a 1-0 victory against Wright State in Milwaukee, Wis.

Forbes, a St. Charles North grad, made six saves for the clean sheet; she also was named to the All-Horizon League Tournament Team, Eclipse Select Soccer Club reports. Forbes has seven shutouts this season. With the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament, the Panthers will open the first round against No. 25 Notre Dame on Friday in South Bend, Ind. Milwaukee has advanced to 10 NCAA Tournaments.

Illinois Wesleyan's Hannah Ketterling, a St. Charles East grad, scored a goal, but the Titans fell, 3-2, in overtime to Wheaton on Oct. 30 in the semifinal match of the College of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships, Eclipse Select Soccer Club reports.

The Eclipse Select Soccer Club was formed in 1997 to facilitate elite-level youth soccer players and has evolved into a program consisting of more than 60 teams throughout the Chicago area. The club offers programs for boys and girls soccer players of all levels and ages, from preschool children to collegiate-level and national-team athletes.
