St. Charles To Offer Free Yard Waste Pickup

Lakeshore Recycling Systems will pick up bagged yard waste on normal refuse collections days during the weeks of March 20 and March 27.

ST. CHARLES, IL — The city of St. Charles will offer free spring yard waste pickup in coming weeks.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems Inc., the city's refuse contractor, will pick up bagged yard waste on normal refuse collections days during the weeks of March 20 and March 27. No sticker will be required, according to a news release from the city of St. Charles.

Residents are encouraged to place twigs, trimmings and leaves in a paper yard waste bag and put the bag out on the curb for pickup, according to a news release. Starting on April 3, regular collection will begin and a sticker will be needed for yard waste bags.
