St. Charles Police Add Birthday Parades To Official Duties

The St. Charles Police Department recently started fulfilling residents' requests for a special drive-by birthday celebration.

ST. CHARLES, IL — With most St. Charles residents stuck indoors under stay-at-home orders, the city’s police department is looking to raise spirits with birthday parades. The St. Charles Police Department recently started fulfilling residents’ requests for a special drive-by birthday celebration.

“We recognize that so many children are not able to have normal birthday parties with all their family and friends,” St. Charles Police Cmdr. Rich Clark said in a news release. “If we are able to contribute bringing a little bit of happiness to these kids during these unprecedented times, we want to do what we can. We are a community and are dealing with this together.”

Towing Company Spreads Joy With Birthday Parades

The department is asking residents who would like a police parade to contact Clark at (630) 377-4435 to provide the location and contact information.

“If calls for service allow, we will make our best effort to join in,” Clark said.
