St. Charles Police Issue Tickets, Make Arrests During Holiday Detail

St. Charles Police Department officers were out in full force during the week prior to Christmas and leading into New Year's Day.

ST. CHARLES, IL — The St. Charles Police Department issued several tickets and arrested three drivers during a recent holiday enforcement campaign.

Officers stepped up traffic enforcement efforts in the week before Christmas and leading into New Year's Day as part of the nationwide Click it or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. On Tuesday, police released results from the traffic campaign:

Detail officers arrested one driver for driving under the influence and arrested two motorists for driving without a license. They also issued 11 speeding citations and 10 other tickets for various traffic violations.

They also wrote an additional four warnings.

The Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization was made possible with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
