St. Charles Scarecrow Festival Seeks Volunteers for 30th Anniversary

Volunteers needed for community festival, Scarecrow Fest

Scarecrow Fest is dusting off the signs, unpacking nylons, and finalizing plans to celebrate 30 iconic years of scarecrows October 9-11 in downtown St. Charles. The Fest needs your help at this iconic event. Volunteers are needed during the three-day annual event to staff new attractions.

“To celebrate the 30th year we wanted to incorporate a new event into the Fest, so when we heard about the Soda Pop Tour, it was a great fit” said DeAnn Wagner, Associate Director for the Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Scarecrow Fest has become a tradition with many, from locals to visitors from around the country. Families have used the nationally recognized festival as a meeting place for family get-togethers and can remember their favorite scarecrows from over the years. This year, everyone can add the experience of volunteering at the 30th annual festival to their list of memories!
