St. Charles Venue Cancels Event Featuring Controversial Pastor
Organizers say they are searching for a new location after Royal Fox Country Club declined to host the planned April 21 talk.
A country club in St. Charles says it will not host a planned event featuring controversial Wisconsin pastor Matthew Trewhella after learning he had been scheduled to speak there.
The talk, organized by the Geneva-based Three Headed Eagle Alliance, had been planned for April 21 at Royal Fox Country Club, according to the Daily Herald. Activists circulated petitions and encouraged residents to contact the venue after raising concerns about Trewhella’s views.
Event organizers say they are now looking for a different location and insist the group “will not be silenced.”
