St. Charles Veterans' Day Ceremony Moved Inside Due To Cold
A forecast showing near freezing temperatures on Veterans' Day prompted city officials to move the event indoors.

ST. CHARLES, IL — The 2017 St. Charles Veterans Day ceremony is going to be moved inside Fire Station 1 due to a cold weather forecast.
The press release came out on Monday, warning residents of the event's moving. At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, city officials are inviting all citizens to show their appreciation for the country's veterans.
The event was moved to the fire station at 112 N. Riverside Ave. after the forecast of temperatures almost freezing came to light.

The ceremony will begin with a reading of the official Veterans' Day Proclamation, according to a press release from St. Charles officials. Then there will be an invocation, a salute to Old Glory, a gun salute and a performance of Taps.
