St. Charles Wahlburgers To Open July 14

Actor and St. Charles resident Donnie Wahlberg put the restaurant's opening on hold in April due to the coronavirus outbreak.

ST. CHARLES, IL — After months of waiting to throw open its doors, the Wahlburgers restaurant in St. Charles is set to welcome customers for the first time July 14, according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page.

Actor and St. Charles resident Donnie Wahlberg posted a short video Tuesday along with a message that reads: "One week from today." The St. Charles restaurant shared Wahlberg's message with one of their own: "We're so excited to welcome you through our doors!"

Wahlberg put the restaurant's opening on hold in April due to the coronavirus outbreak.

"I look forward to the day, in the not too distant future, when we are together in this finally 'completed' restaurant," Wahlberg wrote on Instagram. Wahlberg owns the Wahlburgers franchise with his two brothers, actor Mark and executive chef Paul, who have expanded the brand nationwide.

Under phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, the capacity at the restaurant — located at the corner of Route 38 and Randall Road — will be limited, with tables required to be at least 6 feet apart and standing areas reduced.
