Stroll and Sip Cider Along Fox River Friday

The Sunset Cider Stroll is hosted by the St. Charles Park District.

ST. CHARLES, IL -- Area residents will get the chance to stroll along the Fox River while trying different samples of hard cider during a St. Charles Park District event this week. The Sunset Cider Stroll will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 21 and is an adults-only event. The relaxing night is meant to celebrate the autumn equinox.

The evening will begin by checking in at The Wine Exchange, 1 Illinois St., between 5 to 6pm. After tasting a few seasonal wine varieties, you can stop at LUX Dance Studio for entertaining demonstrations. Then, begin the 2.25-mile leisurely stroll, heading south along the Bob Leonard Walkway, winding under the Prairie Street bridge and into Mt. St. Mary Park, according to a St. Charles Park District press release.

Along the way, you’ll have an opportunity to stop and sample four different types of hard cider and seasonal snack items from local businesses, such as Kimmer’s Ice Cream and Brunch Café.
