Celebrate Christmas Swedish style with the Swedish American Children's Choir

SWEDISH CHRISTMAS & ST. LUCIA FESTIVAL

The Swedish American Children's Choir presents the 19th annual Swedish Christmas and St. Lucia Festival on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at 3 p.m. The festival will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church, 8 S. Lincoln St. in Batavia and feature music by the choir directed by Marguerite Karl as well as Margaret Lekander and Christopher Karl, violinists, Julia Lekander

Flute and Shirley Fox, piano soloist and choir accompanist. This year's St. Lucia, Queen of Light, is Sydney Poss of North Aurora.

Following the concert a Swedish Christmas Sweet Table will be served and Jul Tomte-Swedish Santa will visit with the children. Also available for purchase will be baked goods.

The Swedish American Children's Choir is the largest choir of its kind in the Midwest. In their 18th year, they have performed at numerous venues in the tri state area. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the choir tour fund.

Tickets are by reservation only and $15 for adults and $8 for children 6-12 years old. Reservations can be made by calling the choir office at 630-414-9700
