A DuPage County judge sentenced the two boys to two years probation and 100 hours of community service.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Two teenage boys who started a fire at Pheasant Run Resort last year have been sentenced to two years of probation.
The 17-year-old Carol Stream boy and a 15-year-old Wheaton boy pleased guilty to felony arson charges earlier this year and have also been ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and a fire safety program and they must be placed on an arson registry for 10 years, according to the Daily Herald.
DuPage County Judge Anthony Coco also ordered the older teen, who is failing his high school courses and does not have a job, to either get involved in pro-social activities, such as sports, or get a part-time job during the school year and a full-time job over summer break, according to the article.

The teens, along with two other boys, illegally entered the former resort at 4051 E. Main St. in St. Charles at about 4:40 p.m. on May 21. Two of the teens set papers on fire at two separate locations in the building and then left the area without trying to put the fires out, according to fire officials.
Authorities obtained several Snapchat videos and photos that led to the arrest of the four teens, including one image showing plumes of smoke coming from the shuttered resort with a caption that read, "caused a fire."
