KANE COUNTY, IL — Rep. Lauren Underwood, D-Naperville, is asking local residents to drop off Valentine's cards at her offices in West Chicago and Woodstock through Feb. 10 as part of her "Valentines for Vets" program. The cards will be sent to local veterans, according to a news release.

The cards can be dropped off between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday at Underwood's offices in West Chicago, 490 East Roosevelt Road, Suite 202, and in Woodstock, 666 Russel Court, Suite 309.

“Every day our community is grateful for the service and sacrifice of our local veterans,” Underwood said. “Veterans make our community stronger, and in order to make sure these sacrifices are never forgotten, it’s up to us to make sure all veterans have the resources they need to live healthy lives through the benefits they have earned. Ahead of Valentine’s Day, please join me in sharing our gratitude with those who have served to protect our freedom and way of life.”
