Luna Has A Great Opportunity – Can You Help?
Safe Haven Dog Rescue is looking for a foster home. One of our wonderful foster families had a house fire that left their home unlivable. Thankfully all are safe including their four legged friends and Luna their foster dog. They will not be able to move back into their house until next spring and understandably cannot continue to foster. Luna is about 2 ½ years old and is a beautiful small Aussie / Beagle mix with one blue and one brown eye. She takes after the beagle side of her family with her small stature.
We are looking for a foster family that will help us provide her with a phenomenal opportunity. Luna has the chance to attend training at Woof Beach in Batavia Tuesdays through Fridays. The foster family would need to be willing to drop her off at Woof Beach on Tuesday mornings and pick her up again on Friday afternoons. Family would then keep her (foster her) until the following Tuesday when she will return to Woof Beach for training.
She is housebroken, knows basic commands and is very active. She would do best in a foster home that has a fenced yard and will commit to taking her on long walks. She has the Aussie prey drive so would probably not do well in a home with cats. Finally, she would do best in a home with children 10+ due to her instinct to herd small children. All of these are normal attributes for a herding dog breed. She bonds quickly and gets along great with other dogs.
