Spark ideas for spring home improvements with The Old House New House Home Show, February 6 – 7 – 8, 2015 at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main Street in St. Charles. Since 1984, this event has been celebrating the spirit of home remodeling, renovation and transformation. With 300 exhibits featuring award-winning contractors, talented designers, select remodelers, leading brands and creative craftsmen, homeowners can investigate new styles, surfaces and building materials. Discover the latest in kitchens, baths, basements, additions, architecture, landscaping, green renovations, renewable energy, roofing, siding, insulation, storage solutions, painting, woodworking, waterproofing, heating and air, windows, doors, flooring and more. Show hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. Adult admission is $7. Seniors (over 62) admission is $4. Children under 18 attend free and parking is free. A portion of the ticket proceeds benefits The Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley based in Elgin.

New this year, Kitchen Makeovers, will be presented each day at 1 pm by Pamela Coslet of Vineyard Chic, based in St. Charles. Explore options, investigate current trends and discover design basics to update and create the kitchen of your dreams.

Landscaping Trends will be presented daily at noon by Stephen Carlin of Great Impressions Landscaping, based in Naperville. Learn the basics of successful design and discover new materials and current styles to enhance and revamp outdoor environments.
Beautiful Bathrooms will be offered at 2 pm on Friday and Sunday by Scott Skiermanski of Stoneridge Builders, based in Prairie Grove. Investigate space planning, discover new advancements and learn remodeling strategies to transform your space.

Join Frank Fontana for his savvy “Secrets of Design” workshop on Saturday only at 2 pm. Mr. Fontana’s practical pointers and do-it-yourself décor tips are exceptional tools for homeowners. Following his presentation, Mr. Fontana will meet and greet fans in the Eddie Z’s Blinds and Drapery Booth, # 602.
Meet Lou Manfredini on Saturday from 10:15 to 11:15 am. Host of “Housesmarts,” a frequent contributor to the Today Show and host of WGN Radio’s “Mr. Fix It” program, Mr. Manfredini will visit with fans, share industry insights and his contagious enthusiasm for all things home improvement. His guidance for homeowners is expert and enjoyable.
